Camille McCarley, FNP
Certified Functional Medicine Provider
I was born and raised in Arizona. I have always had a desire to help others, and knew from an early age that I wanted to be a nurse. After graduating high school I started my healthcare journey as a CNA and then shortly after I became a Registered Nurse. In 2015 I received my Masters in Science from Northern Arizona University and have been working as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care since this time.
As an FNP I have treated many patients with chronic diseases. I have seen firsthand how the healthcare system has failed in some aspects. Patients often have years of symptoms including fatigue, hair loss, inability to lose weight, abdominal discomfort, etc. They are prescribed many different medications, but the root cause is never really addressed.
After my own battle with subjective complaints that no one could explain, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Every doctor I saw prescribed a new medication for every symptom (which were many). I was told I would likely not be able to walk in a few short years if I did not start Biologic Medications. However, I felt like there had to be something I was missing. This led me to search for alternative treatments. These treatments were different from the Western Medicine I had studied for so many years. In 2021 I received my certification in Functional Medicine through The American Academy of Functional Health.
Functional Medicine has given me the opportunity to help myself and my patients with Chronic Diseases to find the root cause and treat inflammation through lifestyle and nutrition changes. Myself and so many others have been able to get relief from symptoms, allowing us to enjoy our lives again!
